# NetSuite Components

Qloud Margin Control is built on top of native NetSuite — it reads and writes standard transactions and posts to your general ledger, so the right NetSuite features must be enabled before QMC can do its work. This page summarises the native components QMC works with. ## Transactions QMC works with

* **Landed Cost** is applied to **Purchase Orders**, **Item Receipts** and **Vendor Bills**, and flows through to **Item Fulfilments**.
* **Sales Cost** is applied to **Sales Orders**, **Invoices** and **Credit Memos**.

QMC adds its [transaction body and line fields](/qloud-margin-control/administrators-guide/custom-objects/transaction-body-fields.md) to these records and links each costed line to the cost records it creates.

## Native features QMC relies on

* **Accounting & General Ledger** — QMC posts cost and variance amounts to GL accounts.
* **Inventory** — for cost of goods sold and inventory valuation.
* **Purchasing** (A/P, Purchase Orders, Advanced Receiving) — required for Landed Cost.
* **Sales** (A/R, Sales Orders, Advanced Shipping) — required for Sales Cost.
* **NetSuite Landed Cost** — QMC's landed-cost allocation builds on NetSuite's native Landed Cost feature and the *Landed Cost Allocation Per Line* accounting preference.
* **SuiteAnalytics, Saved Searches & Reports** — QMC's cost data is available to NetSuite's reporting tools; see [Reporting](/qloud-margin-control/reporting.md).
